Purdue University was founded in 1869 and has since been known for it's excellence in academics and athletics. Over one hundred years later, in 1970, Purdue Lacrosse was born. Since it's inception, the lacrosse team has added to Purdue's positive legacy and fostered a reputation for being a hard-working and hard-playing team.
Known as the fastest game on two feet, lacrosse combines speed, strength, endurance, and teamwork. With a history that spans centuries, lacrosse is considered to be the oldest sport in North America. The game is fun and exhilirating to both watch and participate in.
With a schedule packed of competitive opponents, the lacrosse team invites all who are interested to come out and cheer on the Boilermakers as they make their run for the MCLA playoffs.

After playing the Buckeye's, the Purdue squad immediately faced-off against the Lions of Mount St Joe for their second scrimmage of the day. The Lions got off to a quick start against the Boiler's and for the most part, were able to maintain that momentum throughout the game. Despite Purdue's better focus the Lions took full advantage of Purdue's inability to possess the ball effectively on offense. With some great midfield shooting the Lions quickly racked up the points much to Purdue's dismay.
The Purdue lacrosse club welcomes players of any skill level or age. Come out to Spring Call-outs on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 8:30 pm in RSC 122 and meet the current team members and club officers. Practice will start the very next day. Hope to see you there!
Please help support the team! Along with our semester dues, the team is involved with fundraisers around campus. With each year that comes and goes, it gets more and more expensive to keep the team together. From renting vans to play at away games to paying for field time to practice on in the winter, the team desperately needs your support.
